The properties included in this project spanned from Houston to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Scott’s duties included choosing sites for construction, market analysis, financial analysis, project design, asset management, and underwriting.
In his career as an attorney, Thomas Scott Edwards has served as a first chair and second chair litigator. He has over seven years of experience representing personal injury clients, over four years of experience in commercial litigation, and two years of experience working in employment law. His work has included handling all aspects of civil litigation in state and federal courts. Currently, Scott works as a trial and mass torts attorney for Jason Joy and Associates where he is involved in complex litigation matters of several mass tort dockets.
Among his many accomplishments as a trial attorney, Thomas Scott Edwards won several large settlements for clients including a $1.9 million settlement during a trial for a commercial driver with decompression sickness, an $850,000 settlement the day before trial for an injured seaman, and a $575,000 settlement for family members who were exposed to carbon monoxide poisoning.
Thomas Scott Edwards also deals with real estate transactions and disputes, which includes drafting and negotiating business and construction contracts. He has served numerous real estate companies, including Real Estate Investment Group, Coastal Horizon, and ICore Global.
For his undergraduate degree, Thomas Scott Edwards attended Louisiana State University. He graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in business and marketing. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge. Shortly after earning his degree, Scott served as a law clerk for the Chief Federal District Judge for the Western District of Louisiana. In 2008, Scott also earned a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from the University of Texas in Arlington.
